The purpose of the stamps was to commemorate the French Revolution, while the booklet celebrates the similarities and differences between the American and French Revolutions. The commemorative stamps feature the figures of Liberty, Equality & Justice (or Liberte, Egalite & Fraternite), and were jointly issued in both France and the United States on July 14, 1989, with first day cancellations from both Paris and Washington, D.C.. Included with the set is the original mailing envelope. The stamps, booklet and envelope are all in virtually mint condition. Terms: All sales final. Paypal only. I w ill ship USPS mail.
