Description

Beginning in 1972, the USPS has issued a "Commemorative Panel" of each of its regular and Christmas stamp issues. A Commemorative Panel is an 8.5 inch X 11.25 inch sheet, on handsomely printed paper, that describes the stamp issue and usually features an unused, unhinged, 4-stamp block of the stamp itself. Collectors find these panels highly desirable, and even suitable for framing. This is a set of 4 commemorative panels, all from 1979. The topics are: John Steinbeck, Pennsylvania Toleware, Year of the Child, and American Architecture. These panels all carry 4 15-cent stamps ($2.40 in unused postage) in unused, unhinged form in a plastic sleeve. The panels are in their original wrapping and have never been opened! These historic and attractive panels would be a wonderful addition to any collection! Check the scans for details.
