Description

The 1984 USPS Commemorative Mint Set 1984 features two four-block sets of stamps: orchids (Scott #2076-2079) and dogs (Scott #2098-2101). Two 1984 Olympic four-stamp blocks also appear in 20 cent denominations: Sarajevo Winter Olympics (Scott #2067-2070) and Los Angeles Summer Olympics (Scott #2082-2085). Individuals commemorated include Carter G. Woodson (Scott #2073), Douglas Fairbanks (Scott #2088), Jim Thorpe (Scott #2089), John McCormack (Scott #2089), Herman Melville (Scott #2094), Roberto Clemente (Scott #2097), and Eleanor Roosevelt (Scott #2105). My personal favorite, a commemorative titled "A Nation of Readers," features Abraham Lincoln reading to his son Tad. All stamps are mint, original gum, never hinged and sealed within the original packet inside the album. Please review the attached photos of the album and mounted stamps carefully to make sure you approve, and let me know if you have any questions. –Joe
