Description
The 1974 USPS Mint Set of Commemorative Stamps includes 29 mint, never hinged stamps with original gum mounted within the mylar sleeves of the album. Highlights of the 1974 commemorative issue include the impressive 8 stamp Universal Postal Union tribute (Scott# 1530-1537), the American Revolution Bicentennial block of 4 (Scott #1543-1546), and the diamond shaped mineral heritage block (Scott #1538-41). The politically incorrect stamp in this set is the Scott #1549 that proudly notes, "Retarded children can be helped" (Scott #1549). My favorite in elementary school was Scott #1529, Skylab. Please review the photos carefully to make sure you approve, and let me know if you have any questions. –Joe
